There are a lot of options for travelling from France

Pet Options:

Corsica to Mainland France:​

Corsica Ferries: 

  • Nice / Ajaccio (approx 8 hours)

  • Nice / Bastia (approx 7 hours)

  • Nice / Ile Rousse (approx 6 hours)

  • Nice / Porto Vecchio (approx 15 hours)

  • Toulon / Ajaccio (approx 8 hours)

  • Toulon / Bastia (approx 11 hours)

  • Toulon / Ile Rousse (approx 7 hours)

  • Toulon / Porto Vecchio (approx 14 hours)

Corsica Ferries states on their website that dogs can accompany their owners in all public areas including the restaurant (in an area reserved for pet owners). They also state that most of their ferries also offer pet friendly cabins.

  • Marseille / Ajaccio (approx 13 hours)

  • ​Marseille / Bastia (approx 13 hours)

  • ​Marseille / Ile Rousse (approx 13 hours)

Corsica Lines state on their website that pets can no longer enter the passenger area of their ships and must be kept in kennels. These kennels will not be accessible throughout the sailings.

La Meridionale:

  • Marseille / Ajaccio (approx 13 hours)

  • ​Marseille / Propriano (approx 13 hours)

La Meridionale state on their website that pets are not allowed in the passenger areas of the ship and must travel in kennels or remain in vehicles. It is unclear where the kennels are located or whether they are accesible throughout the sailing.

France to Morocco​

​

Balearia Ferries:

  • Sete / Nador (approx 38 hours)

​

While Balearia do offer pet friendly cabins on some routes, unfortunately not on the ship that operates the Sete / Nador route. I can only assume this means that pets must use the 'calm houses' that Balearia also offer. Thankfully these seem to be on the passenger deck on most routes so that you can exercise and visit your dog - but it would be best to check this for certain if you are taking this route. GNV Ferries:

  • Sete / Nador (approx 38 hours)

  • Sete / Tangier (approx 38 hours)

GNV offer pet friendly cabins on these routes, which include a late check out so you can stay in your cabin with your pets until the last moment.  

​

La Meridionale:

  • Marseille / Tangier

​

  • Marseille / Tunis (approx 23 hours)

Pets are welcome on CTN ferries but must remain in kennels on board.
